Dear Members of the BTW PTA and Norfolk Community,
We appreciate your understanding regarding Carlos Clanton’s inability to attend the Norfolk Community Forum hosted by the Booker T. Washington High School Parent Teacher Association on May 22. Carlos values every opportunity to engage with the community and share his vision for the City of Norfolk and Superward 7. Unfortunately, due to prior commitments under contract with the Virginia Opera, collaborating with the Richmond Symphony on the live recording of the World Premier of "Loving vs. Virginia," Carlos will be out of town from May 22 through May 24.
It has come to our attention that initial marketing for the event, even after notifying event organizers, may have continued to show Carlos's likeness and list his name as a participant. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Carlos deeply regrets missing this important event and extends his sincere apologies. He is committed to being present at future forums and community engagements, given sufficient notice.
We invite you to participate in one of Carlos's virtual or in-person community conversations to discuss your concerns and ideas. For additional information on upcoming events, please visit www.CarlosClanton4Norfolk.com.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Carlos looks forward to connecting with you soon and working together for a better Norfolk.
Warm regards,
Team Carlos Clanton for Norfolk City Council - Superward 7
