Hello, Norfolk!
As I sit here, reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared, I am filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. With the latest count, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve increased our lead to 118 votes in this important race for Norfolk City Council, Superward 7. This progress is a testament to the power of community and to each of you who believed in our vision for a stronger, more inclusive Norfolk.
Throughout this campaign, your support has been nothing short of inspiring. From phone calls and text messages to social media posts and words of encouragement, you’ve shown up in ways that I will never forget. I am truly humbled by the outpouring of support from friends, family, and neighbors who have joined together to make our voices heard. This is more than a campaign—it’s a movement, powered by our collective hope for a better future.
Right now, we’re still waiting for the final set of provisional ballots, which will be counted over the next few days. These ballots represent voices that deserve to be heard, and we’re committed to ensuring every vote is counted fairly and accurately. While this process requires patience, it is also a reminder of the importance of each individual vote. Every single one matters, and we’re honoring that with the respect it deserves.
As we move forward, I want to take a moment to recognize all of you—our community, our team, our supporters. This campaign has been driven by a shared passion for change, a dedication to public service, and a love for our city. I am honored and energized to represent a community that believes in standing together for progress and prosperity.
Looking ahead, we anticipate that the election will be certified by Friday, November 15th.
